Starting the day with a boost of Yahava Koffee from our very own MotoKafe, we assembled out of town to be escorted en masse up the Stuart Highway by the NT Police. Before departure however, the NT Police Commissioner John McRoberts reminded our Support Crew 1 drivers that airborne Koffee Cups aren't suitable for NT roads and even less suited on the windshield of a Police Commissioners motorbike!
Ensuring the Koffee Cups were now suitably tied down, the convoy of 55 bikes, 3 Holden Colorados, 1 Police Media Unit and half a dozen NT police bikes hit the highway north.
Pausing at the Flynn Memorial, we acknowledged the similarities in our respective missions. John Flyn identified the need for physical health facilities in regional communities, and 100 years later, Black Dog Ride was riding throughout regional Australia
