2018 Community Act Of Royalty

Every quarter three much deserving charitable organisations are chosen for the RACT's Community Act of Royalty Program. Black Dog Ride is honoured to be been chosen as one of these recipients for our work in suicide prevention, particularly reflecting the hard work and dedication of our Tasmanian Coordinator Betty Parssey.

Betty was thrilled to hear the news, "Help is out there and Black Dog Ride encourages people to do reach for that support, and not be ashamed to admit they are struggling with mental health, which is no different to other health issues. Any loss of life is a tragedy and anything that can be offered to prevent this is paramount."

Black Dog Ride will utilise the award prize of $2,000 for our Even Heroes Need A Hand project, funding the Mental Health First Aid Training of local emergency responders,

Thank you the RACT, and thank you to Betty and Black Dog Ride's Team Tassie!
